Despite a rainy Sunday, the community showed up in full force for Nurse Next Door’s second annual fundraising BBQ on August 24 in support of Carefor Hospice Cornwall. Held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the event was entirely donation-based, offering hotdogs, burgers, and drinks for a good cause.
This year’s 50/50 winner, Lynn Zurkowski, generously donated her entire $1,640 prize back to Hospice, helping boost the total raised to an impressive $3,670.
“This year’s event was challenged by Mother Nature’s fierce personality and a remarkable downpour,” said Patrick Campeau, Franchise Partner of Nurse Next Door Home Care Services. “However, it always amazes me how much support we receive-no matter what-from our clients, their families, and the community overall.”
Campeau added, “Cornwall Hospice is a partner that we work very closely with and that is close to our heart. Our NND Team is always happy to support them!”
Carefor Hospice expressed gratitude thanking Nurse Next Door on social media.
