What began as a mission to support fellow parishioners at Cornwall Pentecostal Church has grown into a grassroots ministry known as Two Strong Christian Boys That Can Move Heavy Things.
Led by Cody “Kaptain” MacDonald and Hayden Hamilton, the duo offers free help to Cornwall residents in need-whether it’s moving furniture, yard work, or emergency brush cleanups.
“We just had so much in us to help,” said MacDonald. “We branched out, started a Facebook page, and it spread like wildfire.”
Although their work is informal, it’s deeply rooted in service. “It’s really God’s love that was put on our heart,” said MacDonald. “We asked ourselves, what do we have, how can we help? And it turns out it was our strength.”
Hamilton added, “We’re best friends, we’re strong, and we’ve got nothing better to do on the weekend. So we opened a ministry, and I’ve not regretted one part of it.”
They don’t charge for their work. “If someone asks politely and it’s realistic, we’ll do it,” MacDonald said.
