Dream Maker Productions is inviting the public to “experience Charles Dickens’ beloved timeless classic A Christmas Carol, like never before.”
Performances are December 13 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., and December 14 at 1 p.m. at École L’Héritage Secondary School, 1111 Montreal Rd.
This reimagined stage production breathes new life into the timeless story of where the irritable and miserly Ebenezer Scrooge shows no kindness to anyone. From the chilling arrival of Jacob Marley to the awe-inspiring visitations of the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come, this production balances the classic moments that have inspired generations. At its heart, it remains a celebration of kindness, generosity, and the true meaning of Christmas and what it means to show kindness to all.
This version, like in the stories of Oliver and Annie, has orphans who bring a bright spirit and their songs that remind us all of the enduring power of joy. These children will surely be stealing the show.
Director Nicole King states, “We have so many talented performers it is hard to believe. Many of our cast members have been in movies, TV and on the professional stage. Several are even being featured in the Syracuse City Ballet, The Nutcracker later this month.”
“So, join in the cherished Christmas melodies audiences know and love, while new and holiday favourites are performed by some of the brightest young performers in our community. This family-friendly production promises laughter, music, and moving performances that will touch hearts of all ages. With dazzling traditional costumes, powerful performances, and songs that will have you humming long after the curtain falls.”
Tickets, $5 per person, are on sale at Melody Music and at the door.
