The Ontario SPCA’s Home for the Holidays campaign brought joy to hundreds of families this season by helping 688 animals across the province find loving homes, including 59 of them right here in Cornwall and area.
Held from December 1 to 24, the annual adoption campaign focused on finding homes for pets of all ages, including senior animals and long-term residents who had waited months for a second chance.
“Our Home for the Holidays campaign truly captured the spirit of the season,” said Candice Gordon, Manager of the Ontario SPCA Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Animal Centre. “This remarkable achievement was made possible by the dedication of our animal care team and the compassion of our community.”
While the milestone is cause for celebration, many animals are still waiting to start the new year in a home of their own. Visit ontariospca.ca/adopt to meet them. For those unable to adopt, donations can be made at ontariospca.ca/donate to help care for animals still waiting.
Cupcake Day returns February 23, inviting the community to bake, share treats, and raise funds in support of animals at the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society Cornwall and Region Animal Centre.
