Deputy Mayor Andrew Guindon has confirmed that he hopes to succeed Bryan McGillis as mayor of South Stormont in the 2026 municipal election. “It has been an honour to serve our community as Deputy Mayor, and I am proud of the work we’ve accomplished together. I believe our community has tremendous potential, and I’m ready to continue building on that momentum,” says Guindon. “Serving this community as Mayor has always been a personal goal of mine, and in the coming months, I will be sharing more about my vision and platform for the future.”
