The City of Cornwall is inviting residents to help shape the 2026 municipal budget through a series of public engagement initiatives. From October 29 to November 5, citizens can complete an online survey at www.cornwall.ca or pick up a paper copy at City Hall to share their thoughts on budget priorities and services.
For the first time, a dedicated student survey will be offered to encourage civic engagement among youth. Local educators are encouraged to incorporate the survey into classroom activities, and participating classes will be entered to win a pizza party. Individual survey participants can also enter a draw for a pizza supper.
“We are continuing our public engagement strategy with our annual budget Resident Café and survey,” said Mayor Justin Towndale. “I encourage everyone to provide constructive feedback that will help the City during the 2026 budget process.”
Residents are also invited to attend the third annual in-person Resident Café on December 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Benson Centre, to ask questions and learn more about the budget.
