JASON SETNYK
Breakfast with Santa filled Spinners Diner in downtown Cornwall, drawing two packed seatings at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus greeted children in front of a festive backdrop, with proceeds from picture donations going to Maison Baldwin House.
“It’s wonderful to see local businesses supporting the shelter with family friendly events like this,” said Danielle McCormick, Public Educator and Volunteer Coordinator at Maison Baldwin House. “People got to enjoy a delicious breakfast while chatting with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and then, for a donation to the shelter, they could get a photo with Santa against a lovely Christmas backdrop. It was exciting to see a full house for both seatings.” Among the young guests was two-year-old Campbell, who told Santa he hopes to find Number Blocks toys under the tree. Donations from the event will help Baldwin House continue providing 24/7 shelter, counselling, and advocacy for women and children fleeing domestic violence or human trafficking.
