Did you know that today’s final News From The Square column for 2025 is actually on the last day of the year? That said, now that Santa and Mrs. Claus have made their way south to a beach community in Aruba while Rudolph and the other reindeer are grazing nearby after their hectic Christmas season, we at Cornwall Square can look back on a year of visible changes in the mall.
The year 2025 saw Cornwall Square welcome several new tenants starting with BIHE Granite in March, followed by Styles on Hair, Service Ontario in April, Habitat ReStore in June, Sunrise Records and SUBWAY in July, ARTCRYSTAL3DSTONE in October, Tunkas Fashion in November and a relocated Habitat ReStore also in November. In addition, the Cornwall Square 2025 Festive Season welcomed several new vendors to complement our regulars: Calendar Club, Floral Expressions’ Christmas store, Funko Pop and Hickory Farms. The Vintage Patch, Andes Art and We Will Sock You decided to join the Cornwall Square retail family to offer our customers a wider choice of gift selections.
You also need to know that Cornwall Square will be closed January 1 so that all of us can recoup from welcoming in 2026
You need to know that today, New Year’s Eve, Cornwall Square will be closing its doors at 5 p.m. so that all of the 200 plus people who work at the mall will have the opportunity to celebrate New Year’s Eve, rest up on New Year’s Day, before returning January 2 at 9:30 a.m. to resume the mall’s normal operating hours on the first retail business day of 2026.
