The past year was a lucky one for Sisters For Life as the group closed off its 13th year of fund-raising bringing its 13-year-total to $312,801.
The Cornwall area Sisters are Maureen Robertson, Kim Casselman, Meghan-Tia Robertson, Monique Rutley, Angie Beehler, Kaitlyn Holmes and Cathy Sceli. In 2025, the Sisters donated $21,250 to the Canadian Cancer Society. The group also contributed $10,000 to the Cornwall Community Hospital Foundation to help provide early detection and treatment of breast cancer. And the Sisters gave $5,000 to Ronald McDonald House Ottawa. They also hosted the Melanoma Canada Mole Clinic in our area and provided free assessments to 123 visitors and 27 referrals for follow-up.
