BGC Cornwall/SDG is inviting the community to stand up against bullying this Pink Shirt Day February 25, with a 2026 campaign that emphasizes empathy, accountability, and inclusion. This year’s message – “Real people read your words. Real feelings feel the impact.” – encourages people to pause before posting or commenting online, reminding everyone that words have power and that there’s a real person on the receiving end. “Pink Shirt Day reinforces that the experiences young people face – especially online – are real, and the emotional impact of bullying is real too,” said Jacquie Richards, Executive Director of BGC Cornwall/SDG. “At BGC, we work every day to help youth build confidence, connection, and the skills to navigate challenges in safe, supportive spaces.” Pink Shirt Day shirts are now available for $12 at Baxtrom’s Your Independent Grocer, Foodland Winchester, and Giant Tiger locations in Cornwall, Morrisburg, and Alexandria. Shirts can also be purchased online at www.bgc-shop.com. Each shirt reads, “Real People, Real Feelings.”
