The United Way/Centraide of Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry wrapped up its annual 50/50 raffle, raising funds to support local programs across Cornwall, SDG, and Akwesasne.
Themed “Turn Winter into a Win,” the online campaign gave residents the chance to take home half of the jackpot, while the remaining proceeds stayed in the community. “Winter can be especially hard for so many in our communities,” said Stephanie Lapointe, Interim Executive Director of United Way Centraide SDG. “The 50/50 raffle gives our community a meaningful way to support local programs that help our neighbours, while also having a chance to win half the prize pot.”
An early-bird draw in mid-February awarded Maggie McDonald a $250 gift card to Tauro and a $250 gift card to Sheep’s Head Bistro. The grand prize draw saw Bernard McDonell take home $2,000 – half of the total jackpot.
