A 35-year-old woman from Cornwall has been charged after a man sustained life-threatening injuries when he was stabbed February 28 in the area of First Street East and Prince Arthur Streets, reports the Cornwall Police Service.
The woman has been charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose and possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order.
Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) footage played a key role in the investigation. As the CPS continues to investigate incidents, residents and business owners are encouraged to take advantage of the CamSafe program.
CamSafe is a voluntary CCTV and security video registry that allows community members to register their surveillance cameras, helping officers quickly identify potential video sources when investigating crimes in the area.
