A tea party fundraiser at the Cline House Gallery brought together supporters for an afternoon of fun, while raising funds for local arts programming.
Guests gathered for a traditional tea-style experience, with small-group seating that encouraged a relaxed and social atmosphere. Games and prize draws added a light, interactive element to the sold-out event.
Karen Torrie-Racine, a volunteer with Friends of Cline House, said the fundraiser plays a key role in sustaining the gallery’s programming. “Cline House needs our support, and we are willing to give it,” she said. “We raise money today for special programming, like seniors programming and student programming within the gallery.”
The event featured a menu prepared by volunteers. “It’s sort of like high tea, and we have desserts and sandwiches,” Torrie-Racine said. She added that the setting itself enhances the experience. “When you have such beautiful décor with this artwork, sitting down to have a little tea party just seems to connect.” Organizers estimated the event raised nearly $6,000 to support ongoing initiatives at the gallery.
