The Guindon Park Trailkeepers Association is inviting residents to get outdoors for its annual Spring Scavenger Hunt on Saturday, May 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The family-friendly event encourages participants to explore Guindon Park’s trail system while searching for hidden items and clues along scenic routes. Two map options will be available: an easy course for younger children or those seeking a more leisurely stroll, and a more challenging route for experienced participants.
Registration is $10 per family, with all participants who complete their map receiving a prize package. This year’s reward includes a coupon for a free ice cream from local favourites Cowan’s Dairy and Archie’s Golf Centre.
Organizers say the event is a fun outdoor experience that also supports ongoing work in the park. Proceeds will go toward maintaining and improving trails and expanding seasonal equipment rentals, such as cross-country skis, snowshoes, and bikes.
The scavenger hunt will take place rain or shine, and families can arrive at any time during the four-hour window to participate.
