A 22-year-old Gloucester man has been charged by the Cornwall Police Service with access and possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material, sexual assault on a person under the age of 16, sexual interference, and luring a person under the age of 16 by means of telecommunication.
Ayman Kamran was arrested May 20 after he allegedly April 11 accessed and possessed an image depicting child sexual abuse material. It is further alleged the accused communicated on social media with a person believed to be under the age of 16 through telecommunications for the purpose of facilitating the commission of an offence. Additionally, it is alleged the man sexually assaulted and touched the individual for a sexual purpose.
Police believe there may be additional victims in relation to this investigation. Anyone with information, or anyone who believes they may have had contact with the accused, is asked to contact D/Cst. Eden at 613-933-5000 ext. 2761.
