Comité 73 has unveiled its new executive council, setting the stage for the next chapter in its advocacy for a modern, equitable school in Cornwall. The new leadership team includes Austin Nelson as President and Spokesperson, Méya Cheffer as Secretary, Frédéric Dumoulin as Vice President of Operations, and Xavier Léger as Vice President of Francophone Affairs.
“It is an honour for me to take on this role and continue to amplify the voices of students. Together, we will keep fighting for a 21st-century school that reflects the vitality and pride of our francophone community,” said Nelson.
The organization also expressed its appreciation to outgoing president Jacob Pilon, whose work since the group’s founding helped establish a strong foundation for its mission.
“I step down from the presidency with great pride and complete confidence in the team taking over. I am certain the new executive council will carry this cause forward with the same passion and commitment, so that our community finally receives the equitable school it deserves,” said Pilon.
