As the holidays approach and we prepare to welcome a new year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the festive spirit and strong sense of community that makes Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry such an extraordinary place to call home.
Over the past several weeks, I’ve had the pleasure of joining many of you at festive events across SDSG, including local parades, Christmas tree lightings, and school concerts. Each of these moments has highlighted the warmth, generosity, and joy that define our community.
These gatherings hold such a special place in our hearts and remind us of what truly matters during the holidays –family, gratitude, and coming together as a community to lift each other up.
I also want to extend my sincere gratitude to the volunteers, service clubs, teachers, parents, and municipal partners who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make these events possible. Their dedication ensures that our cherished holiday traditions continue to thrive and that families across SDSG can enjoy these festive moments for generations to come.
As we head into the new year, our government is proud of all the great investments we’ve made that further support our communities, and we look forward to continuing this work in the new year.
As we all gather with loved ones in the weeks ahead, may your homes be filled with happiness, and the warmth of the season. From my family to yours, merry Christmas, and happy holidays.
