Ontario Provincial Police officers across eastern Ontario charged 150 motorists with impaired driving during the annual Festive RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) campaign, during which officers conducted more than 1,640 RIDE programs between November 20 and January 1.
Officers also issued 28 licence suspensions for drivers who were found to be in the warn range on an approved roadside alcohol screening device.
Drivers should be aware that new regulations came into effect on January 1, 2026, resulting in increased licence suspensions and other measures aimed at reducing impaired driving. Learn more at: https://bit.ly/3MZO6r7.
