Carrots n’ Dates in downtown Cornwall was full of festive cheer during “A Very Crafty Christmas,” a family-friendly event featuring crafts, carols, and community spirit. The restaurant transformed into a cozy hub for children making seasonal crafts while families enjoyed warm snacks and holiday tunes.
Musical entertainment was provided by the local trio Llawnroc-Virginia Louise Dipierro, Jill Underwood, and Cameron MacPhee-who have been performing together since 2016. “If you spell Llawnroc outright, it’s Cornwall backwards,” Dipierro shared. “We’ve got children here making crafts and singing Christmas carols. There’s even been a visit from Mrs. Claus-pretty cool.”
Their setlist included favourites like “Christmas in Killarney” and other holiday standards. “We do pop standards and fun Christmas songs everybody likes to sing,” said Dipierro. Returning for a third year, the event continues to grow. “Every year it gets bigger and bigger,” she added.
