The Social Development Council SDGCA will hold the Youth Engagement Fair March 4 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Benson Centre in Cornwall. The event is a free, high-energy community event designed to connect youth ages 11 to 17 with local programs, services, and opportunities that support their well-being, interests, and future goals. The fair provides a welcoming and interactive environment where young people can explore activities, learn about community resources, and discover ways to get involved through recreation, arts, sports, and volunteer opportunities. “This event is about helping young people see what’s available to them in their own community,” said Melanie Boileau, Project Manager with the Social Development Council SDGCA. “It creates meaningful connections between youth and organizations in a fun, accessible way and helps young people feel supported, included, and inspired.” The Fair will feature interactive exhibitor booths, hands-on activities, complimentary refreshments, and a popular passport challenge that encourages youth to visit exhibitor tables and learn about available programs, with prizes to be won. While the event is open to all community members, prizes will be reserved for youth between the ages of 11 and 17. For additional information contact melanie@sdccornwall.ca
