Some 85 exhibitors, more than the 73 who took part last year, will display their goods and services at the Cornwall and Area Chamber of Commerce’s Home and Leisure Expo, taking place April 10-12 at the Benson Centre.
This year’s event is officially at maximum capacity, with kiosks in both the main Expo and the Maker’s Market completely sold out.
Building on the record-breaking success of last year, which welcomed over 4,000 adult attendees and more
than 6,000 total visitors, the 2026 Expo is set to be the premier community event of the spring.
“The fact that we are already sold out speaks volumes about the vibrancy of our local business community,” adds Ross Butterworth, Director of Communications and Strategic Initiatives for the Chamber of Commerce.
“We are thrilled to bring back this community-focused show, and even better, this year’s edition remains free to attend thanks in part to the City of Cornwall’s Municipal Grant program. We’ve even added meet-and-greets and photo opportunities with beloved children’s characters throughout the weekend to make it a true family destination.”
“At the heart of the Home & Leisure Expo is a celebration of our community’s entrepreneurial spirit,” says Angela Bero, Executive Director of the Cornwall and Area Chamber of Commerce.
“By bringing together thousands of residents and local businesses under one roof, we are making a powerful statement: when you Shop Local and Shop Canadian, you are investing directly in the families and innovators who make our region thrive. We are proud to provide a platform that turns that local support into lasting economic growth.”
The expo is presented in cooperation with the Cornwall and District Real Estate Board (CDREB) and sponsored by Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Home and Dignity Memorial.
“The CDREB is proud to partner with the Cornwall & Area Chamber of Commerce as the title sponsor of the Annual Spring Home & Leisure Show, reinforcing our ongoing commitment to supporting community initiatives,” says Derek McEwen, President of the CDREB.
“The residents of our community have consistently supported their local realtors, and this sponsorship is one meaningful way for the CDREB to give back and continue strengthening that relationship.”
New for this year, the Expo will feature interactive meet-and-greets with stars of the screen. Saturday meet Marshall and Katie, the rescue-themed heroes from Paw Patrol. Sunday catch a special appearance by Ms. Rachel and Gabby from Gabby’s Dollhouse, hugely popular characters loved by toddlers and preschoolers for their hit shows on Netflix.
Admission is free for the public all weekend long. April 10: 4 p.m.-9 p.m.; April 11: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; April 12: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Highlights Include: Sold-Out Maker’s Market: A showcase of unique, handcrafted goods from local artisans.
Expert Advice: Dozens of vendors specializing in home renovation, real estate, and outdoor living.
Community Support: A gathering place for thousands of residents to support local entrepreneurship.
