The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Department of Health (DOH) welcomed four new members to its Health Advisory Board during a swearing-in ceremony. The members will serve three-year terms and help guide health programs and services through community input and feedback to the DOH administrative team. New board members include Dwayne Thomas and Delia McDonald, representing Tsi Snaihne; Mindy Thompson, representing Kana:takon; and Iakonikonriiosta, representing Kawehno:ke. The Health Advisory Board acts as a link between the Department of Health and the community, providing advice and perspectives on programs and services delivered to Akwesasró:non.
