The 53rd edition of the Raisin River Canoe Race takes place April 11, starting at 10:30 a.m. in the field beside St. Andrew’s Catholic School in St. Andrews West. Participants must register online in advance through the RRCA’s website at rrca.on.ca/CanoeRace. Online registrations close April 8 at 11:59 p.m. Last year the average time to reach the finish line was 4 hours and 17 minutes. The fastest time was 2 hours, 34 minutes, and 31 seconds, recorded by Joel Malenfant and Perry Rancourt, both from Shawinigan, Québec.
