JASON SETNYK
Jenny Woo made her Cornwall debut, performing at the Knights of Columbus Hall. The Edmonton-born artist delivered an intimate, high-energy set for just over 100 attendees, sharing the bill with Duck Tape, Stagger Lee, and Down Here From Hill. Woo’s punk performance emphasized connection and community. “We had an absolute blast last night,” she said. “This gig was truly about bringing together bands and people from all ages… pushing back the tables so we could all pogo.” Woo, who has toured internationally for more than two decades, continues to champion all-ages shows as essential to punk culture. “This is a youth subculture, and it’s about passing the fire to the next generation,” she said, adding that seeing younger fans engage with the music gives her “faith in the future.” The next punk show at the venue is scheduled for May 23, featuring Montreal’s Ripcordz, along with Wet For Days, Don’t Tell Sarah, and Duck Tape.
