A 19-year-old Cornwall man faces charges of theft of a motor vehicle, assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon and failing to comply with a probation order. It is alleged on two occasions he contacted his girlfriend on a social media, contrary to a probation order.
April 10, the man allegedly assaulted two individuals known to him with a weapon and assaulted one of the individuals, causing injuries. rounds were developed for his arrest.
It is alleged May 18, the man stole a motor vehicle.
In the early morning hours of May 19, the man was taken into custody by members of the Ontario Provincial Police and subsequently turned over to the CPS.
Domestic mischief
A 52-year-old Cornwall man is to appear in court June 9 to face a charge of domestic mischief. It is alleged April 17, the man damaged his ex-boyfriend’s property.
Shoplifting
A 52-year-old man from Cornwall was charged with shoplifting, failing to comply with an undertaking and failing to comply with a probation order after he allegedly stole goods from a Ninth Street East business.
Assault
A 32-year-old woman from Cornwall was charged May 16 by the Cornwall Police Service after officers responded to a May 16 intimate partner violence call. The woman allegedly bit her spouse. She was later released to appear in court June 9.
Impaired charge
A 62-year-old man from Kalamazoo, MI, charged May 16 with impaired driving after officers were dispatched to an impaired driver complaint. He was later released to appear in court June 4.
Assault with a weapon
A 32-year-old woman from Cornwall faces charges of domestic assault with a weapon, domestic assault and failing to comply with a probation order after she allegedly assaulted her boyfriend and threw a household item at him May 2. She was later released to appear in court June 9.
Impaired charge
A 22-year-old man from Cornwall was charged May 17 with impaired driving after he was stopped by a CPS officer conducting a traffic stop. He was later released to appear in court June 9.
Assault
A 43-year-old woman from Cornwall was charged with assault and failing to comply with a probation order. It is alleged April 25, the woman punched an individual known to her. She was later released to appear in court June 23.
Assault causing bodily harm
A 36-year-old woman from Cornwall was charged May 17 with domestic assault causing bodily harm, domestic assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. It is alleged April 29, the woman stabbed her boyfriend.
Theft, fraud
A 46-year-old man from Cornwall faces charges of theft and fraud after he allegedly shoplifted June 17, 2025 at a Ninth Street West business and July 18, 2025 allegedly stole a credit card from a man’s vehicle and used it to make unauthorized transactions. The accused is scheduled to appear in court June 30.
Mischief, impaired
A 35-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested May 18 and charged with impaired driving and mischief. When CPS officers responded to a family dispute, they found that the man had damaged his parent’s property. Further investigation revealed he was operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was later released to appear in court June 4.
Shoplifting
A 16-year-old youth from Cornwall has been charged with shoplifting after he allegedly stole merchandise from a Second Street East business May 15. He was released to appear in court at a later date.
