A pilot has died following a mid-air collision involving two small airplanes near Martintown Saturday morning.
The crash occurred shortly after 11 a.m., north of Martintown, says the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry (SD&G) detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police.
One airplane landed safely, while the other was located in a wooded area where the pilot, who was alone in the aircraft, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has been notified and will be taking charge of the investigation.
County Road 20 remains closed, and police are requesting the public to avoid the area.
