Community pride was on full display at the sold-out 2025 South Dundas Awards of Excellence Gala, which celebrated the individuals, businesses, and organizations driving growth and community spirit across the municipality.
The gala recognized outstanding achievements in entrepreneurship, innovation, agriculture, and volunteerism. Among the highlights was Z.R. Waste Removal + winning Business of the Year, while LUMA Salon and Sanctuary took home the New Business Award.
Thurler Logistics & Excavation’s Jake Thurler received the Young Professional Award, with local MP Eric Duncan praising his recognition: “Jake Thurler… was one of tonight’s well-deserved recipients… Congrats to all the winners who were recognized for their business and community leadership in South Dundas!”
Other honourees included the Iroquois Matilda Lions for Innovation, Bryan Holmes and Michael Burton for Adult Community Builder, and Aiden Adams for Youth Community Builder. Group awards went to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 370 and the South Dundas Youth Working Group.
