Community support continues to fuel growth at Beyond 21.
The local charity, which supports adults with developmental disabilities in Cornwall, has benefited from a string of recent fundraisers and has more excitement on the way.
“We are so grateful for the Matos and McPhail families, owners of the local Tim Hortons, and for their support through the Holiday Smile Cookie campaign,” said Executive Director Amy Malyon. “This donation means so much to our organization and allows us to continue the work we do supporting adults with developmental disabilities in Cornwall.” This year’s Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie campaign raised $32,774 for Beyond 21.
The charity also received $2,000 from this year’s “empties” drive led by the Maxville Lions Club, and 129 donors contributed $20,391 to its Giving Tuesday campaign, helping fund adaptive musical instruments, sound equipment, and staff training.
Up next is Roots to the Sky, a cirque-inspired aerial showcase at Aultsville Theatre on Sunday, January 11, at 3 p.m., starring Akwesasne hoop dancer Feryn Bright Moon King and performers from Sky Studios Fitness.
