Country Side Creations offered a holiday gift of a free turkey dinner with all the trimmings and a cupcake for dessert, at its restaurant in Alexandria. Owner Brittany Leblanc wanted to offer some kindness to the community that has supported her venture into the restaurant business.
Country Side Creations is a dream come true for Leblanc. Together with her dad, René Poirier, they renovated the former building space into a working restaurant.
Leblanc is a master at juggling the many things she does, including raising six children between the ages of 4 and 14.
Attendees to the free Christmas dinner were very happy with the generous portions, tasty food and very quick service. Smiles and expressions of thanks to Brittany and her staff were plentiful.
Genesis Kitchen offers Community Gift Cards for someone who needs a meal, but can’t afford to pay. No questions asked, the recipient will be provided a free, hot meal. The gift cards are sponsored by businesses and individuals. And, said Dan Willis, owner of Genesis Ktichen, “If the community fund ever runs dry, we continue to supply the meals at cost to ourselves.”
