A 34-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested March 20 and charged with two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged Feb. 26, the man threatened to kill personnel and to damage property belonging to a local organization.
Threats, mischief
A 37-year-old woman from Cornwall was charged March 21 with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and mischief after CPS officers found that she threatened to harm an individual known to her and damaged the individual’s property. The woman was later released to appear in court April 23.
Shoplifting charges
A 39-year-old woman from Cornwall was charged March 23 with shoplifting after she allegedly stole merchandise January 11 and 14 from a Second Street East business while she was bound a peace bond. She is to appear in court May 5.
A 37-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested March 23 and charged with shoplifting. It is alleged May 29, 2025, the man stole goods from a Ninth Street West store. He is scheduled to appear in court May 5.
A 40-year-old man from Cornwall was charged March 21 with shoplifting and fail to comply with a probation order after, while he was bound by a peace bond, allegedly shoplifted November 20, 2025 at a Ninth Street West business. He was arrested by a CPS officer on general patrol conducting a traffic stop. The accused is to appear in court April 23.
A 53-year-old man from Akwesasne was charged March 22 with nine counts of fail to comply with a probation order and three counts of shoplifting. It is alleged that while he was under an order to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, he stole merchandise at convenience stores on Fourteenth Street West, Thirteenth Street West and McConnell Avenue.
