A large crowd gathered at Job Zone d’emploi as the Cornwall & Area Chamber of Commerce and the Cornwall Construction Association co-hosted a March Pub Night focused on networking and entertainment.
The event featured catering, refreshments, prize draws, and walk-around magic performances by David Jans, creating a relaxed setting for local employers and business leaders to connect. Brad Robertson, chair of the Cornwall Construction Association, said the collaboration helped strengthen ties between organizations.
“The chamber’s helped us. It was great to connect and partner with them. It was an amazing opportunity for both organizations,” he said. Robertson also pointed to strong engagement from the construction sector. “It’s a great turnout. A lot of our members showed up. We’re engaged, we’re excited, and you can tell people are showing up and they’re excited to network.”
Kim Arbic, Director of Community Relations at Job Zone d’emploi, said hosting the event offered added value for employers. “This is an opportunity for employers to come and mingle together, connect and discuss different opportunities,” she said.
She added the event allowed Job Zone to showcase its services. “It’s a great opportunity to have a pool of employers all together where we can also promote our services and explain our services.” Organizers pointed to strong engagement from across sectors.
