A 31-year-old man from Cornwall has been charged with sexual assault causing bodily harm, assault causing bodily harm and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order. Cornwall Police Service says that April 8, the man allegedly choked his girlfriend. Further investigation revealed he allegedly previously sexually assaulted the woman.
Assault peace officer
A 28-year-old Cornwall man faces charges of assaulting a peace officer, shoplifting and three counts of failing to comply with a probation order. The charges were laid when April 8 the man allegedly stole merchandise from a Ninth Street East business and assaulted the loss prevention officer at the business. The accused was later released to appear in court May 7.
Slew of charges
A 53-year-old man from Akwesasne was arrested April 8 and charged with 14 counts of failing to comply with a probation order and four counts of shoplifting.
It is alleged that in February and March, he stole merchandise from businesses on Ninth Street West, Second Street East and Thirteenth Street West. He is to appear in court May 7.
