Two people have been charged by the Cornwall Police Service after an imitation firearm was used in an April 16 robbery.
A 19-year-old man from Cornwall faces charges of using an imitation firearm while committing an offence, robbery with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and failing to comply with a probation order.
A 16-year-old Cornwall youth has been charged with robbery with a weapon.
It is alleged April 16 the man pointed what was believed to be a firearm at an individual known to him and committed a robbery. The 16-year-old stole the victim’s cell phone during the incident.
Later that day, members of the CPS, led by the CID and the Cornwall Emergency Response Team (CERT), executed a search warrant in the area of First Street East and McConnell Avenue, where the individuals were arrested.
