Denis Lapierre has succeeded Greg Pietersma as executive director of ACCFutures.
Lapierre brings more than 15 years of experience supporting small businesses across Eastern Ontario. Most recently, he served as Senior Business Advisor with the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, where he worked closely with entrepreneurs and economic development partners to foster regional growth and competitiveness. Fluent in English and French, he is widely respected for his practical, relationship-driven approach to business support. Earlier in his career, Lapierre held senior roles in business development, financing, and sales leadership, and operated a consulting practice supporting small businesses and community organizations throughout the region.
“With Denis, we have a leader who understands both the systems that shape economic development and the real-world challenges entrepreneurs face,” said Shannon Lebrun, Chair of ACC’s Board of Directors. “We’re confident in his knowledge and judgement, and in his ability to continue guiding ACCFutures in delivering smart, responsive solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises.”
“ACCFutures is an organization that understands its communities and isn’t afraid to think differently,” said Lapierre. “I’m excited to work with the board and team to continue supporting entrepreneurs as they build and grow their businesses.”
The board also extends its gratitude to Pietersma for his leadership. “Greg brought heart and purpose to his role at ACCFutures,” said Lebrun. “He believed deeply in this organization, in the entrepreneurs we support, and in the power of local solutions. We’re very grateful for his leadership and wish him every success in what comes next.”
