The St. Lawrence Marathon is off to a record-breaking start, with 650 runners registering in the first week – more than 70% of the event’s 925 available spots. The 2026 edition takes place Saturday, April 25, and features a 5K, 10K, Half, and Full Marathon along the scenic St. Lawrence River.
“Seeing 650 registrations in the first week is incredible,” said Race Director Sebastian Warner. “It tells us people are hungry for a well-run, community-powered event – and if you’re thinking about joining, don’t wait. We’re on pace to sell out.”
By comparison, 486 runners registered in the first week last year, and the 2022 event had just 614 participants total – making this year’s early numbers especially impressive.
Beyond race day, the event has a broader impact. “We give away over $13,000 annually to local non-profits and charities,” Warner said. He’ll also be running the 5K himself, adding, “I’ll squeeze it in.”
Known for its welcoming atmosphere, enthusiastic volunteers, and flat, fast waterfront course, the St. Lawrence Marathon continues to grow as a must-run spring race.
